Reddit Adds “For You” and “Following” Feeds to Its Home Screen

Reddit is adding two new feeds to its app and website: a "For You" feed and a "Following" feed. The move gives users a clearer way to choose between discovering new content and keeping up with the communities they already care about.

The For You feed is built around recommendations. Reddit's home page has long mixed posts from a user's subscriptions with suggested content, and a dedicated For You view puts that discovery layer in its own place. Users who want to find new communities or topics can start there.

The Following feed is the opposite approach. It is meant to show posts from the subreddits and people a user has chosen to follow, without the algorithmic suggestions. For longtime users who mainly want to check in on specific groups, it offers a more predictable view.

The source material for this item is brief, so details such as the exact rollout timing, whether the feeds will be available to every account at once, and how the ranking works have not been confirmed here. Users who want those specifics should check Reddit's own announcement or its help pages once the changes appear in their accounts.
