Apple's Pro and Tell Event Opens With a New OLED iPad mini

Apple's week of announcements has started with a new iPad mini. On October 26 the company unveiled a model with an 8.5-inch OLED display and an A20 Pro chip, the first OLED version of the small tablet. Apple is also calling it its first water-resistant iPad, and select models get a nano-texture display option. Pre-orders and a release date have been announced, though the date is not spelled out in the coverage we reviewed.

The larger show is still to come. Apple's "Pro and Tell" event is scheduled for October 28 at 1 p.m. ET, and the company's own invitation and related coverage point to hardware beyond the iPad mini. Reports have pointed to a redesigned MacBook Pro with an OLED touchscreen, a refreshed iMac, and a software update to iOS 27.2. None of those products have been confirmed by Apple yet, so treat them as expectations rather than announcements.

That makes this list of "everything announced so far" a short one. Right now the only confirmed new hardware is the iPad mini. The event itself will settle the rest, and we will update this story with the full lineup, prices, and release dates once Apple makes them official.
